Akifumi Morinaka, CEO of Rege Nephro Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kyoto, Japan), received the “Nakanoshima Qross Encouragement Award” at the “2nd ‘Young People Creating the Future’ Startup Pitch Kansai ~ Global Healthcare and Wellbeing Challenge ~” held at Nakanoshima Qross (Nakanoshima, Osaka) on April 22, 2025.

Taking this award as a great encouragement, we will further focus on the implementation of regenerative medicine using iPS cell-derived nephron progenitor cells and ADPKD therapeutics discovered from human iPS cell-derived disease models, which we have been engaged in research and development for, and the development of new therapies. Based on the achievements in this renal field, Rege Nephro will continue to pursue the potential of iPS cell technology and promote innovative research in regenerative medicine and drug discovery for various diseases, including liver and pancreatic diseases.
