The team of our chief scientific advisor has succeeded in producing renal organoids including glomeruli and renal tubules from human iPS cell-derived nephron progenitor cells.
This technology will enable to evaluate the presence or absence of side effects of a new candidate drugs on the kidney, and will also enable to analyze pathological conditions using patient-derived disease-specific iPS cells and to find more potent therapies.
